Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist dental hygienists during patient examinations and preventive care procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure a safe and clean environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Update and maintain accurate patient dental records and treatment notes
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-procedure care
• Support patient flow by managing appointment scheduling and preparing treatment rooms

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• State radiology certification or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in a dental office setting preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients and team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in taking dental radiographs
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control protocols
