Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, mobility and feeding as needed
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately
• Communicate changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
• Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Support admissions, discharges and safe patient transfers
• Document care thoroughly and follow facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Active Alabama CNA certification preferred (or ability to meet state requirements)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and TB screening per facility policy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; patient-centered attitude
• Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and patient mobility
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Accurate charting and basic clinical documentation
• Effective teamwork and communication with nursing staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize during busy shifts
