Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - Travel
Location: Salinas, California

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Sunday-Thursday (typical day shift hours)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADL performance, functional mobility, and independence
- Accurately document treatments using Net Health electronic medical records
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient progress and discharge planning
- Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on adaptive equipment and home safety strategies
- Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and facility documentation standards
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current California COTA license (or eligibility)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred, but motivated new graduates welcome
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude with a passion for patient-centered care
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
- Occupational Therapy and ADL Training
- Functional Mobility and Patient Education
- Documentation and Collaboration
- Proficiency in Net Health EMR
- CPR/BLS certified
- Skilled Nursing Facility experience a plus
