Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room
• Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgeries, ensuring a sterile environment and patient safety
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient vital signs and response during surgery, anticipating needs of the surgical team
• Document accurate patient records and assist with postoperative handoff and recovery

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OR nursing experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and aseptic technique
• Ability to quickly adapt to different surgical specialties and hospital protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
