Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including preparing materials and instruments
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and work areas
• Document patient care and treatment plans accurately

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or registration in Maryland preferred
• X-ray certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous chairside assisting experience, especially in orthodontics, is helpful
• Strong communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
