Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures including bonding, banding, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas
• Take dental x-rays and impressions as needed
• Educate patients on orthodontic care and hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Qualifications

• Certified Orthodontic Dental Assistant
• Current Maryland dental assistant license or certification
• Minimum 1 year of orthodontic experience preferred
• CPR/BLS certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in orthodontic procedures and equipment
• Strong infection control and sterilization practices
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with denticon or similar dental software a plus
