Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy sessions using evidence‑based techniques to improve communication and swallowing function
• Document progress notes and update care plans in compliance with facility policies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation care
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in Tennessee
• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and therapeutic skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of adult and geriatric dysphagia and neurogenic speech disorders
• Skilled in functional communication assessments
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to develop and modify treatment plans based on patient response
• Team collaboration and interdisciplinary communication
