Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns across the LDRP continuum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, titrating Pitocin as ordered
• Circulate in the OR during C-sections and assist with deliveries
• Perform couplet care, supporting both mother and baby postpartum
• Collaborate with surgical techs and the healthcare team to ensure safe deliveries
• Float between L&D, postpartum, and mother-baby units as needed, adapting quickly to patient needs
• Document all care accurately in EPIC and respond to emergencies with confidence

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing - we'll help with submission
• 2+ years of LDRP experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (AHA required)
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
• Experience with couplet care and circulating in the OR
• Willingness to float between units and support the team wherever needed
• Must meet the 60-mile radius requirement for this travel assignment
• No BSN required - your experience matters most

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal monitoring with GE and OBIX systems
• Skilled in Pitocin titration and management of laboring patients
• Familiar with AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Comfortable using EPIC for charting and documentation
• Ability to stay calm and adapt in a fast-paced acute care setting
• Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration
