Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Monitor patients' vital signs, hemodynamic status, and sedation levels throughout procedures
• Administer medications and contrast agents as directed, and respond quickly in emergency situations
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, catheters, and equipment following strict protocols
• Provide comprehensive post-procedure care, including recovery monitoring, documentation, and patient education
• Collaborate with the cardiovascular team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nevada (or compact state) verified through Nursys
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience in Cath Lab or critical care nursing is strongly preferred
• Willingness to complete Prime Competency Exam, Skills Checklist, and Specialty Exam
• Ability to meet all health screening and vaccination requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and interventional procedures
• Proficient in sterile technique, catheterization lab equipment, and radiation safety
• Skilled in critical thinking and rapid response during emergencies
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Comfortable with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Compassionate patient care with great attention to detail
