Shift Type: Day shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts, staggered start times 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM, with call rotation every 4-5th weekend and weekday nights.

Candidate Pay Rate: $89 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and patient responses during procedures
• Administer medications, sedatives, and contrast agents safely and accurately per physician orders
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and follow-up care with clarity and empathy
• Document all care and procedural details precisely in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and the care team to ensure smooth, safe outcomes
• Participate in on-call rotation to provide urgent cardiac care after hours

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Rhode Island or a compact state (verified via Nursys)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior experience in Cath Lab, critical care, or emergency nursing preferred
• Comfortable with on-call rotation including weekends and weekday nights
• Strong assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Working knowledge of cardiac catheterization lab procedures and sterile technique
• Ability to interpret EKGs and monitor hemodynamic waveforms
• Sound clinical judgment during emergent and high-acuity situations
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient safety and positive outcomes
