Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry readings to ensure patient safety
• Assess patients' conditions and respond quickly to changes in vital signs or cardiac status
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care
• Document patient data accurately and maintain detailed electronic records
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state
• Previous telemetry or acute care nursing experience is preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work flexible per diem shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
• ECG analysis and recognition of arrhythmias
• Patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Effective teamwork and clear communication with patients and staff
