Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to promote optimal oral health
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and overall oral hygiene techniques
• Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
• Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive patient care plans
• Provide gentle, compassionate care to ease patient anxiety
• Ensure a clean, sterile, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygiene license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience in a dental office setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for delivering high-quality patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software
• Strong chairside manner and patient education skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a dental team
• Attention to detail and infection control practices
