Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxes to keep smiles healthy and bright
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Take and develop dental X-rays to aid in diagnosis
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure patient comfort
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and treatment areas

Qualifications

• Active and current Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Valid CPR/BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene techniques and instrument handling
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Compassionate patient care and education
