Roles & Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients during dental hygiene appointments
• Perform thorough dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing while checking for signs of oral disease
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist with diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, and nutritional habits to support oral health
• Partner with dentists and the care team to develop personalized treatment plans
• Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure infection control standards are met

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to communicate warmly with patients and work closely with the dental team
• Experience in a clinical dental setting is a plus
• Attention to infection control protocols and safety standards

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical dental hygiene skills and knowledge of dental procedures
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Radiography and dental imaging know-how
• Knowledge of dental software and patient records
• Ability to maintain a calm, confident chairside manner
