Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and care for patients with complex medical conditions in the Progressive Care Unit
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
• Respond to changes in patient status and intervene promptly
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Ensure a safe and compassionate environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience in PCU, telemetry, or critical care setting
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of medication administration and IV therapy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent documentation skills
