Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM and 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions
- Respond to on-call needs with a one-hour response time to support your unit
- Float to support other areas as needed while delivering outstanding care
- Read and interpret cardiac strips to ensure patient safety
- Assist with lunch relief and support charge nurses in maintaining smooth operations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- ED or ICU experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to work variable shifts and take on-call rotations
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable working with vents, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
- Experience recovering ICU patients in a PACU setting
- Flexible and adaptable to changing patient needs
