Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Start Date: 06-15-2026
End Date: 09-14-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
- Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
- Collaborate with a dedicated Charge Nurse and PCT team to maintain optimal 1:3-4 patient ratios
- Float to other telemetry units including Neuro Tele as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
- Complete required SIMs Lab training for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Manage non-titrating drips and support patients with CPAP and high-flow oxygen needs
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Strong EKG interpretation skills
- Cerner EMR experience
- Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac stepdown and post-surgical patient care
- Philips telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
- Cerner electronic medical records documentation
- Maintaining sterile field during procedures
- Team collaboration with RT, Pharmacy, and IV teams available 24/7
