Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 10-hour shifts; on-call one night per week (Monday-Thursday, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and one weekend per month (day call Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM; night call Friday-Sunday 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); holidays assigned as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care across a full spectrum of surgical procedures
• Assist the surgical team during orthopedic, general, endovascular, urology, and obstetric surgeries
• Prepare the operating room, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for every patient
• Monitor patients closely before, during, and after surgery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team to drive excellent outcomes
• Participate in on-call coverage for weekend and holiday emergencies
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort at every step

Qualifications

• 2+ years of recent RN Operating Room experience required
• Active Michigan RN license (or ability to obtain) with verification through LARA and Nursys
• Experience in orthopedic, general, endovascular, urology, or obstetric surgery preferred
• Current nursing skills checklist completed within the last year for RN specialties
• References not required, but a strong clinical background is a must

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced surgical settings
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Skilled in perioperative patient assessment and monitoring
• Commitment to following attendance policies to support patient care
