Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse med-surg and telemetry patient population
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding quickly to changes and emergencies
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following evidence-based protocols
• Partner with physicians and the care team to create and adjust individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care for better outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Iowa or a compact state (License/Certificate Verification required)
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications current and in hand
• Prior med-surg or telemetry nursing experience strongly preferred
• A caring, resilient attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical judgment and critical thinking for acute patient care
• Comfort with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Clear communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize and manage multiple patients
• A patient-first mindset that brings both empathy and professionalism
