Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring patient responses
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for patients and teammates

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or a compact state
• Current BLS certification (CPR) required
• Previous Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced setting
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work per diem shifts as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical nursing knowledge in Med/Surg care
• Critical thinking and quick decision-making
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Time management and prioritization in a dynamic environment
