Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on a Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care interventions for children with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, documenting changes and responding quickly
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver the best outcomes

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
• Previous pediatric or med/surg experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
• Skill in administering pediatric medications and calculating dosages
• Ability to assess and respond to changing patient conditions
• Strong documentation and EHR skills
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
