Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse MedSurg/Tele and Ortho Trauma population
• Monitor telemetry and collaborate with Tele Techs to catch changes early
• Administer medications and titrate drips like heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine with confidence
• Manage fast-paced admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining a 5-6 patient assignment
• Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and responsiveness
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in MedSurg/Telemetry
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Telemetry monitoring experience helpful

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage a 5-6 patient assignment efficiently
• Comfortable with telemetry and basic rhythm interpretation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptability in a unit with high admission/discharge volume
• Compassionate, patient-first approach to care
