Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during examinations and procedures to keep patient flow smooth and efficient.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, following strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Take and process dental radiographs with precision and care, helping the doctor make accurate diagnoses.
- Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene and post-adjustment care to support great outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charting using Denticon software.
- Manage clinical supplies and inventory so the practice is always ready to welcome patients.
- Provide a warm, welcoming experience for every patient, from the first hello to the final adjustment.
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality orthodontic treatment that changes smiles and lives.
Qualifications
- Certified or registered dental assistant (CDA/RDA) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Current dental radiography (X-ray) certification required.
- Hands-on orthodontic assisting experience is a must.
- Proficiency with Denticon dental practice management software is required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification is preferred.
- You're a team player with a genuine passion for patient care and a positive attitude.
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of orthodontic instruments, procedures, and terminology.
- Strong patient communication and a caring chairside manner.
- Keen attention to infection control and sterile technique.
- Comfortable using Denticon for scheduling, charting, and documentation.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced dental practice.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills for seamless teamwork.
