Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists with patient procedures and treatments
• Prepare patients for examinations and orthodontic appliances
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification
• Current CPR certification
• Radiology license or certification as required
• Previous orthodontic experience is a plus
• Excellent communication and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients of all ages
• Attention to detail in patient care and record keeping
• Proficiency with dental software and charting systems
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Manual dexterity and accuracy in handling instruments
