Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to patients
• Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and preventative care
• Support the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatories
• Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming clinical environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New Jersey
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in 30-minute appointment slots
• Comfortable working with a dental assistant; X-ray and exam duties not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Skill in patient education and oral hygiene instruction
• Ability to work collaboratively with dental staff
• Time management skills to keep appointments on schedule
