Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize evidence-based practice to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care
• Provide skilled, medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders
• Administer manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive devices as part of the rehabilitation plan
• Assess patient progress and collaborate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on physical disorders and recovery plans
• Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic medical record accurately
• Participate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility trainings

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Massachusetts
• 1+ years of PTA experience required
• Long-term care or rehab experience required
• New graduates considered with Level II clinical experience
• Skills checklist within 1 year required
