Location: Ada, OK

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts, flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and provide high-quality care.
  • Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Administer therapeutic procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
  • Assess patient progress and communicate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system accurately.
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and required trainings.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and physical disorders.

Qualifications

  • Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Oklahoma
  • 1+ years of PTA experience (new grads with Level II clinical experience considered)
  • Long-term care or rehabilitation experience
  • Current skills checklist within one year
  • Strong manual therapy and therapeutic exercise skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Manual therapy techniques
  • Therapeutic exercise prescription
  • Ambulation and assistive devices
  • Modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation)
  • Electronic documentation (e.g., EMR systems)
  • Long-term care and rehabilitation settings
  • Patient assessment and evaluation
  • APTA and state practice guidelines
