Location: Ada, Oklahoma

Start Date: 09-14-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM; no weekends, no call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based rehabilitative treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, ambulation training, and modalities as part of each patient's rehabilitation plan
  • Assess patient progress and collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatments in the clinical record
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and home care strategies
  • Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system accurately and promptly
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and facility trainings as required
  • Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist while adhering to APTA and state practice acts

Qualifications

  • Active PTA license in Oklahoma required
  • 1+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience required
  • Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
  • New graduates welcome if Level II fieldwork experience is completed
  • Current skills checklist within 1 year required
  • Professional references available at time of submission

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong patient assessment and clinical reasoning skills
  • Proficient in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and modalities
  • Excellent documentation and electronic medical record skills
  • Effective patient education and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of long-term care and rehabilitation practices
  • Ability to collaborate with physical therapists and interdisciplinary teams
