Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely
• Monitor vital signs and recognize early signs of patient deterioration
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team
• Document care accurately and maintain patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• PALS certification strongly preferred
• Pediatric or Med/Surg nursing experience preferred - new graduates welcome to apply
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Pediatric assessment and early warning sign recognition
• Medication administration, IV therapy, and pain management
• Family-centered communication and patient education
• Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Critical thinking, prioritization, and adaptability
• Collaboration within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
