Shift Type: Per diem 12-hour shifts, schedule varies based on availability and unit needs
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients on the Med/Surg unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely
- Monitor vital signs and recognize early signs of patient deterioration
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team
- Document care accurately and maintain patient safety standards
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- PALS certification strongly preferred
- Pediatric or Med/Surg nursing experience preferred - new graduates welcome to apply
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Pediatric assessment and early warning sign recognition
- Medication administration, IV therapy, and pain management
- Family-centered communication and patient education
- Electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Critical thinking, prioritization, and adaptability
- Collaboration within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
