Shift Type: Night shift; 8, 10, or 16-hour shift options; days vary and may include weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage a dynamic patient assignment of 5-6 medical-surgical patients in a high-tempo admission unit
- Coordinate care for general medical patients and surgical patients preparing for surgery
- Partner with the healthcare team to facilitate rapid admissions and discharges throughout your shift
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members
- Work independently while prioritizing patient safety, quality, and clinical excellence
- Document accurately and maintain compliance with Grady Health System policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Georgia or compact state (Nursys verification required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association)
- Ability to provide work history with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, and certification card
- A 'can-do' attitude and a love for the energy of a rapid admission unit

- Strong medical-surgical clinical knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Time management and prioritization in an acute, fast-paced setting
- Comfort with electronic health records and hospital workflows
- Adaptability to rapidly changing patient needs and priorities
