Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontic specialists during procedures and treatments
• Prepare patient rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure safety
• Take and process dental x-rays with precision
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment flow
• Provide compassionate support to patients of all ages

Qualifications

• Certified or registered dental assistant in Maryland (or willing to obtain)
• Experience in orthodontic assisting is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work a set schedule from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental instruments and equipment
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Denticon) is helpful
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
