Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to general medical and surgical patients on a rapid admission unit
• Manage a dynamic patient assignment with a 5-6:1 ratio, adapting to fast patient turnover
• Perform thorough admission assessments and coordinate care for patients awaiting surgery
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe handoffs
• Work independently to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with nursing standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Active RN license with Nursys verification
• Current certification card and up-to-date skills checklist
• Professional references and complete work history (no gaps over 60 days)
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Effective time management in a high-turnover admissions unit
