Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Provide compassionate care and education to patients before, during, and after procedures
• Take and process dental x-rays as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and support administrative tasks

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state certifications as required
• Experience in oral surgery or surgical assisting is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of oral surgery procedures and patient management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with dental software and recordkeeping
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon
