Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for a safe, comfortable experience
• Assist the orthodontist during exams, fittings, and procedures
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions with care
• Educate patients and families on braces care, oral hygiene, and treatment plans
• Document patient information accurately in Denticon
• Deliver a warm, positive experience that puts patients at ease

Qualifications

• Dental assisting certification or relevant hands-on experience
• Current certifications as required by Maryland dental regulations
• Comfortable working with orthodontic tools and supporting clinical procedures
• Availability to work the afternoon/evening shift
• A caring, patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization, and infection control
• Familiarity with orthodontic treatments and patient education
• Experience or willingness to learn Denticon software
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team
