Location: Sweetwater, TX

Start Date: 08-03-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and newborn nursery patients
  • Monitor fetal heart tones, contractions, and maternal vitals during labor and delivery
  • Assist with deliveries, including OB circulator duties when needed
  • Support new parents with breastfeeding and newborn care education
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safe, personalized birth experiences
  • Document patient progress and respond quickly to changes in maternal or fetal status

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas - must be currently active
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
  • Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
  • Ability to care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and nursery patients
  • OB circulator experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
  • Expertise in antepartum, labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
  • Knowledge of neonatal resuscitation and stabilization
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfort working in a rural hospital setting with a moderate delivery volume (30-40 per month)
