Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery
Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to laboring patients with 1:1 ratios
- Support mothers through antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum journeys
- Monitor and titrate critical medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
- Deliver expert postpartum and GYN post-surgical care
- Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse on every shift
- Maintain the unit's outstanding patient experience standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license with minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Valid driver's license for radius verification
- Willingness to complete open-book skills exam during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor and delivery expertise
- Postpartum and antepartum care
- GYN post-surgical care

- AWHONN staffing guideline knowledge
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
