Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor maternal and fetal vitals, promptly identifying and responding to changes
• Assist with deliveries, C-sections, and emergency interventions as needed
• Educate families on newborn care, feeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, positive birth experiences
• Maintain accurate patient records and document care thoroughly

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
• Current BLS certification required
• NRP certification strongly preferred
• Prior experience in Labor and Delivery a plus
• A calm, compassionate approach in fast-paced situations
