Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
• Titrate critical drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics to support patient stability
• Monitor and interpret telemetry using Draeger heart monitoring systems while responding swiftly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver exceptional, team-based care across neuro, cardiac, and surgical populations
• Float to inpatient units as needed (excluding maternity and NICU) to support hospital-wide patient care excellence
• Manage advanced equipment and procedures such as vents, CRRT, Impella, balloon pumps, ICP monitoring, and hypothermia protocols

Qualifications

• Active RN license with 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
• Willingness to adhere to the facility's no artificial nails policy in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment in high-acuity settings
• Comfort managing drips, vents, and advanced monitoring equipment
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues and learners
• Flexibility to float across inpatient units and adapt to changing patient volumes
