Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update care plans
• Operate and manage ICU equipment, including ventilators and monitors
• Support and educate patients and their families during challenging times
• Document patient care accurately and maintain thorough records

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or compact state
• BLS certification required; ACLS strongly preferred
• ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Ability to think quickly and act decisively in high-pressure situations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to delivering patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing practices and protocols
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in ventilator management and airway care
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex patient needs
• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
• Excellent documentation and charting abilities
