Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures
• Assist physicians during GI and pulmonary procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and IV sedation according to protocols
• Document all care accurately in EPIC electronic health records
• Educate patients and families on procedure preparation and post-procedure care

Qualifications

• Active RN license required for this position
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Experience in endoscopy, GI lab, or procedural nursing preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC EHR
• Ability to complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of endoscopic procedures and equipment
• Comfortable with sedation monitoring and airway management
• Skilled in EPIC documentation
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced procedural environment
