Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the emergency department, including assessment, triage, and treatment
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency interventions as ordered
• Monitor patients closely and respond rapidly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes
• Document all care accurately and in a timely manner
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during stressful situations

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Louisiana
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS strongly preferred
• Emergency department or critical care experience preferred
• Ability to provide care for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced setting
• Strong critical thinking, triage, and multitasking skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage
• Medication administration, IV insertion, and wound care
• Cardiac monitoring and ECG interpretation
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Patient and family education
• Effective communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
