Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and expert emergency care to patients presenting with a wide range of conditions
• Triage patients efficiently and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IVs, and treatments as ordered
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Document accurately in Epic to ensure seamless patient records
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NY or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Previous Emergency Department nursing experience
• Willing to travel and be on assignment 75+ miles from Syracuse, NY
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Successful completion of competency testing and health requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and triage skills
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• Knowledge of emergency nursing standards and protocols
• Comfortable with EMR systems like Epic
