Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including PCI, PFO closures, and atherectomy
• Operate and monitor advanced hemodynamic equipment such as Impella and IABP devices to support critically ill patients
• Collaborate with cardiologists and the care team to prepare patients for structural heart interventions like TAVR and ensure seamless outcomes
• Administer conscious sedation and vigilantly monitor patient vital signs, acting quickly when changes arise
• Educate patients and families about their procedures, recovery plans, and next steps with compassion and clarity
• Document procedures accurately in MacLab and Meditech while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Florida or a compact state license (NLC)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Advanced skills in PCI, PFO, Impella, and IABP are highly desired
• Experience with structural heart procedures such as TAVR is a strong plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and take call as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and interventional procedures
• Proficiency with GE Innova imaging systems and MacLab/Meditech charting
• Strong sterile technique and infection prevention practices
• Calm, focused decision-making during emergency and high-acuity situations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teamwork
