Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during exams, cleanings, and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed
• Educate young patients and their parents on proper oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling
• Provide comfort and reassurance to children to help them feel at ease

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Current CPR certification
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Experience working with children in a dental or healthcare setting is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
• Proficiency in sterilization and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with dental software and patient scheduling systems
• Caring, patient, and compassionate approach to pediatric care
• Strong teamwork and adaptability
