Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, procedures, and adjustments to ensure smooth patient flow
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Take and develop X-rays, impressions, and digital scans as directed
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Update patient records and manage appointment scheduling with a friendly touch
• Work closely with the dental team to provide exceptional orthodontic care

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-specific certification is a plus
• Prior experience in orthodontics is preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Familiarity with dental radiography and safety protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of orthodontic terminology and procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
