Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility) with compassion and respect
• Take and record vital signs accurately to support clinical decision-making
• Provide safe patient transport and assist with transfers when needed
• Support nursing staff with wound care, specimen collection, and routine clinical tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document patient interactions and observations clearly in the chart or EHR
• Communicate proactively with the care team and contribute to positive patient experiences
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain high-quality care standards

Qualifications

• Patient Care Technician (PCT) certification preferred or relevant clinical training
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willing to obtain
• Comfortable performing basic clinical tasks and working directly with patients
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Reliable, punctual, and able to complete 4-hour assignments as scheduled
• Willingness to participate in required orientation

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; PCT certificate or clinical training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Comfortable with patient handling and safe transfer techniques
• Clear, professional communication with patients and team members
• Basic EHR/charting skills or willingness to learn on the job
