Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and mount dental x-rays as directed
- Educate patients on orthodontic care and oral hygiene
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Qualifications
- Valid dental assistant certification
- Orthodontic certification required
- Experience in an orthodontic setting preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Denticon preferred)
- Ability to take dental radiographs safely and accurately
- Strong patient care and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and organizational proficiency
