Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Help with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to keep residents safe and comfortable
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
• Support meal times by helping with feeding and documenting intake as needed
• Engage residents in conversation and activities to brighten their day
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents

Qualifications

• Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
• Completion of COVID-19 vaccination series or documented valid exemption
• Ability to bring state or federal ID and wear a photo badge on assignment
• Reliability and punctuality for scheduled per diem shifts
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of patient care and safety practices
• Excellent communication skills to interact warmly with residents and families
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Observation skills to notice changes in residents' health and behavior
• Compassionate approach to caring for elderly patients
