Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and prophylaxis
• Assess patients' oral health and document findings
• Take and develop dental x-rays as needed
• Provide oral hygiene education and preventive care instructions
• Administer local anesthesia when appropriate
• Maintain clinical records and ensure infection control standards

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• CPR/BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Experience in clinical dental settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Education

• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Proficiency in dental software and charting
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills
• Excellent patient care and customer service skills
