Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow
• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for orthodontic appointments
• Take and process dental X-rays and impressions as directed
• Sterilize and organize instruments to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Document patient care in Denticon and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care

Qualifications

• You're a certified or registered dental assistant with orthodontic experience (or a strong desire to learn)
• You hold current radiography/X-ray certification in Maryland
• You're comfortable with dental practice management software, ideally Denticon
• You bring a warm, patient-focused attitude and great communication skills
• You're able to work scheduled same-day assignments with reliable transportation

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and procedures
• Skill in taking dental radiographs and impressions
• Familiarity with Denticon or similar dental software
• Strong patient interaction and customer service skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
